BORN
December 22, 1984, in Moscow, but spent his childhood and youth in Obninsk.
EDUCATION
From the age of 11, he was involved in the Obninsk theater studio "D.E.M.I." After school, following his family's advice, he entered the Obninsk Institute of Atomic Energy, but his passion for the arts prevailed. A fateful encounter with actor Nikita Efremov on the set of the film "Insatiable" inspired Mark to pursue theater professionally. He studied for a year with a teacher from the Shchukin Institute and eventually entered the Moscow Art Theatre School-Studio (MXAT), graduating in 2010 from Igor Zolotovitsky's course.
THEATER
From 2010 to 2013, he was a member of the trainee group at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre. He performed in productions including: "The Master and Margarita," "Cursed and Killed," "Don't Part With Your Loved Ones," "Ondine," "Khanuma," and many others.
FILM & TELEVISION
True fame came in 2012 with his role as Maxim Lavrov in the series "Kitchen" (Kukhnya). The show became a nationwide hit, and Bogatyrev became one of the most recognizable actors in the country. Among his standout works: "Kitchen in Paris," "Champions," "The Great," "Silver Pine," "The Last Yolki," "Buns," "Roots," "The Spider," and many more. He continues to act actively — in 2025–2026, projects featuring him were released, including: "Khimki's witches," "Kuzia the Brownie 2," and "That Means That's the Way for Us." Since 2018, he has also hosted the travel program "Secretly Around the World" on the TV channel Russia-1.
